Courir pour Elles’ – Run for her
This is an association created a few years ago, with the
purpose to support the fight against cancer affecting women. Every year, they
organize close to Lyon a walk (5 km) or a race (5 and 10 km) only for women.
After registration, you receive a pink t-shirt. All the
participants meet in a park, are all dressed in pink. The day is like a big
party and some other associations linked to cancer are present to provide
people an opportunity to learn more about cancer.
Some of the participants are sick (last year there
waere 6); some still fighting, some in remission.
An amazing day for a good cause. And the funds are
given to Cancer Research.
6000 walkers and runners this year !
